I'm Janine Deanna
I believe in... purpose over perfection. drinking tim horton's coffee every day. Jesus. getting regular mani's & pedi's. eating a lot of avocado. laughing until it hurts as often as I can. taking road trips. the over use of exclamation marks! listening to songs I love on repeat. trusting my gut. listening for life's whispers of direction. shopping for relaxation. being in close proximity to chocolate at all times. listening to audio books. being truly present with the people I love. sharing my imperfections. singing at the top of my lungs.
I am... a crazy slow eater. 6'ft tall. tenacious. obsessed with Sephora. 90's music. a beauty product junkie. mother of two humans and a fur baby. hairstylist & makeup artist by trade. lover of fresh flowers. in love with seafoam green. living life with my best friend by my side. hoping to start a podcast one day soon.
we all need to have a "why", as it's the driving passion behind our existence. sure, it's fun to call myself a photographer and take pictures for a living...but capturing what's in my view finder is so much more impactful for me. i take photos to bring people back to moments otherwise vanished. I take photos to to bridge distance, shorten time and lend legacy to the moments that would otherwise be forgotten. Wedding images are priceless. after all the planning and the day is done, the only connection outside of your own sweet memories, are your images. they are the tangible memory holders that will allow you to relive and tell your love story for generations to come. it's never lost on me how blessed I am to be a part of so many stories and i count it my responsibility to tell each coupels story as authentically as possiable.
i am not about the stiff poses and the fake smiles, i will leave that to sears. i love vulnerable passion, natural reactions and romantic embraces. i also believe that passionate, pure and soul bearing imagery doesn't just happen, it has to be crafted. it takes time to create. it has to be given the right environment and permission to grow. this is why i love getting to know my couples, and directly engaging them while I shoot so I can start seeing them as they see one another. that is when I am able to recognize, understand and seek out their unique connection and capture it.
