Meet Parvin & Todd!

He's from the small town of Olds, Alberta and she's from the 5 million plus city of Baku, Azerbaijan, and together they make one incredible couple!  It only takes a short time with these two amazing people to understand that they are truly each others best friends! Opposites attach, fits like a glove in this relationship, with the best part being that they compliment one another so well.  After dating for just over 2 years ,Todd decided one Sunday morning in a hotel in Calgary, to order room service. Once it arrived he secretly topped off Parvin's waffle with a stunning diamond! When she lifted the lid there is was....and in her shock and excitement she looked up, to see Todd....down on one knee asking her to share the rest of their lives together!

One of my favorite moments from the wedding...if I had to pick one, happened at the end of the day during the night.  After Todd and Parvin had their formal dance {that dip at the end was a nice touch Todd!} Parvin and her dad took to the dance floor. She whispered quickly as they swept past me that this was going to be a "traditional" dance called Azeri Lezginka.  I had no idea what that meant, but my goodness was I ever blown away!  Parvin turned into this Azerbaijan goddess, and owned the dance floor like I have never seen before.  I stood there with my mouth open starring, until I remembered I had a job to do to preserve the beauty I was witnessing. Every inch of her body was so gracefully flowing right out to the tips of her fingers, as she effortlessly moved in sync with her sweet dad.  I felt so lucky to be there in that moment, seeing such incredible art!  Oh, I do also need to say that if I didn't love my own mama so much, I would try and steal Parvin's mama, Saida!  Her beautiful soul was so deeply evident in everything she did and it was such a joy to be around all day! As a matter of fact Todd's mom was wonderful and all smiles too...and so was every single person we had the pleasure to chat with, which honestly made for a perfect day all around!

I need to say a very special THANK YOU to my dear friend Cassie for all her help and endless work second shooting on the day of the wedding, I love you friend and appreciate all you do!
